Over the next five weeks, you will each be responsible for selecting and presenting a news article from your home country. I prefer if you select an online news article, so that it can be shared electronically.
When you present your article to the class, you will give a brief overview of the article - what it was about, why it was interesting, etc. Please provide the class with any background information that is required to understand the topic. Preview any difficult vocabulary words with the class. We will then read the article together as a class. After we have read the article, you will lead the class in a discussion based on a question or questions you have written. Feel free to include any videos, pictures, handouts, etc. when you present to the class.
Please submit your article and discussion question(s) to me by email no later than the Tuesday prior to your presentation date. Also, if you need any copies made, please email the original to me by this deadline. Below are the scheduled dates:
